AM Signal Remote Trainer Collars - FM Signal Remote Trainer Collars - Hand Held Trainers
Again there are many types of trainers & remote trainer collars on the market. All are battery operated and activated by buttons on the remote control. Dogs vary in the intensity of their problems and each of the trainers or collars listed use different corrections to help you control your dog. Look out for the listed FM frequency models for better signal strength and greater range.

ULTRASONIC TRAINER. This audible pet trainer is a small hand-held unit only (no collar). It has a positive button which sounds a "good dog" tone when your dog has behaved correctly, and a negative button which sounds a startling, high pitched tone which is louder to a dog than your loudest reprimand so your dog knows he/she has mis-behaved. Problems can be addressed such as jumping up, digging, jumping on furniture, chewing etc. A complete, comprehensive training video shows how to use the trainer. REMOTE TRAINER PRO 300. Also see below for the NEW IMPROVED PRO 300 Deluxe (collar pictured on German Shepherd above & remote control shown on the black & white picture at the top of this page) Everyday we hear from anxious owners with a dog problem. It may be a dog that runs off and will not return or a dog that chases livestock, joggers or other dogs. Other problems include eating animal droppings or discarded food, rolling in foul smelling substances, digging in the garden, destroying plants and many forms of anti-social behaviour. These problems and many others are all curable with a remote trainer. To train your dog to behave itself you simply give a command and wait for it to be ignored. For example, if you called your dog when he was running off but were ignored you would simply activate the remote trainer and give a static type correction. You then repeat the command and the dog will respond, when he returns you praise him. Dogs soon realise that your word must be taken seriously and that even at long distance they must not ignore you. The hand held remote control also has a bleep only button. When your dog receives a correction it is automatically accompanied by a bleep from the collar, most owners find that their dogs respond to the bleep only button very quickly, so the correction action is often only needed as a back up. Up to 300 metre range although poor signal area conditions can reduce this range. All Pro 300 handsets have an external aerial & are not designed to go in pockets or the aerial can break off, for pocket models choose FM type. The New Deluxe PRO 300 has a serialised handset to collar set up so collars are not affected by other handsets. Plus the control buttons are recessed so they cannot be activated falsely. Another feature is the auto-correction hold so when set the correction level to suit your dog's sensitivity it automatically sets at that level each time you switch it on.
